CG-72010 was the i.d. number of ''Blue Water'' which much later became the Schooner LORD JIM...here she is becalmed on Picket Patrol off the Virginia Capes in 1943. One of the rules of the game was not to motor unless necessary in an emergency. The boats would lay dead in the water and listen over an early version of sounders...the pads these sounders were mounted on were still in the boat when we rebuild her in the mid-seventies... — em Off Virginia Capes.
