...now finally we are able to see the port side clearly and find the damage which sank the boat...it is the lowest plank, the gar-board plank, which is sprung...and the opening is in some parts of the seam over one inch...it is a miracle that the boat floated as long as she did, and that she gave us enough time to find this special location...thank you, LORD JIM, thank you for looking out for your

Marcelo brought somewhere like 50 pounds of underwater Epoxy, which the divers now apply to the open seam of the plank...it is barely enough to do the job, we will need more to totally seal the leak...
